A youth-led Organisation advancing early childhood development through climate-resilient, community-driven solutions.
The Nurturing Care Alliance (NCA) is advancing the integration of climate resilience into early childhood development in Tanzania. We work at the critical intersection of climate change, child health, and nurturing care, ensuring that young children can survive, grow, and thrive despite increasing environmental challenges.
Through climate-responsive health and nutrition services, caregiver empowerment, early climate education, and youth-led advocacy, we are strengthening communities to protect Tanzania’s youngest generation while building a more resilient future.
Our work is grounded in evidence, partnerships, and community leadership, placing caregivers and children at the center of sustainable development.

We safeguard early childhood development in climate-affected communities through integrated, community-driven approaches.
We integrate child health, nutrition, responsive caregiving, and early learning into climate-resilient systems that protect children’s physical and cognitive development during environmental shocks.
We equip caregivers, community health workers, and local leaders with climate-adaptive skills, peer support networks, and access to climate-smart resources for nurturing care.
We introduce age-appropriate environmental learning in early childhood settings, helping young children understand and adapt to their changing environment from the earliest years.
We promote inclusive and protective spaces that uphold children’s rights to survive, grow, and thrive despite climate-related risks.
We mobilize youth voices to ensure children under five are recognized in climate policies, National Adaptation Plans, and health and education systems.
We primarily serve children aged 0–15 years and their caregivers, working with communities to ensure every child gets the best possible start in life.
A multidisciplinary team committed to strengthening child health, early development, and resilient communities.
